Lindgren - Client Testimonials

Spring Time

‘The thirsty Earth soaks up the rain,

And drinks and gaps for drink again:

The plants suck in the Earth, and are

With constant drinking fresh and fair.

Abraham Cowley 1618-1667

What a joy the springtime is. We are now enjoying the fruit of our labor last fall, as we watch our bulbs bloom and flourish, as one of the first pops of color in the spring (Although some are already done). Now is also a good time to clean up any of the last debris left over from last years growing season, including cutting back your Russian sage and Blue Mist Spirea. With the moderate temperatures, and occasional rain, this is a great time to do some planting for the year. Don’t make that all too common mistake of going to the nursery and buying everything that is blooming and beautiful though, chances are you’ll have a bloom period for about a month, and then you’ll have no color for the rest of the season. Feel free to give Lindgren a call for a spring clean-up or design consult, and we can help you plan your garden improvements for year round interest.
