Associate Landscape Designer
This position will assist landscape designers and/or architects with all tasks associated with the designing and selling of residential landscape projects. This position will require design skills as well as strong organization and communication skills. This position will report directly to Landscape Designers and/or Landscape Architects, and will work regularly with our Operations Manager, Project Manager, Construction Foreman, and Sub-Contractors.
Responsibilities
Assist in generating base plans in CAD
Generate 3D models
Create submittals for estimating and production
Create construction details and dimensioning
Field measurements and pre-construction site photos.
Research materials and techniques as required.
Assisting other designers with ideas and design concepts
Communicate with clients, builders, sub-contractors, vendor, and co-workers promptly and courteously
Dress, speak, and act as a professional
Always represent the company’s best interest and maintain the highest level of integrity
Minimum Qualifications
1 years of residential landscape construction and 1 year of landscape design experience
Highly Motivated and self-starter
Organized and detail oriented
Must have good problem solving and critical thinking skills
Thorough knowledge of landscape materials and processes.
Strong communication skills
Must be well versed in CAD
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must have character and integrity.
Willingness to assist as needed.
Well versed with Sketchup or other 3D modelling software
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in landscape design or landscape architecture.
Estimating and job costing experience
Horticulture background
Experience with sprinkler and landscape lighting design.
