Mechanic

This position will be responsible for properly servicing and maintaining all vehicles, equipment, and small tools for a growing landscape company. This position will require a highly organized and self-motivated individual with strong time management skills. Will be responsible for keeping accurate shop inventory and a clean and organized shop. This person must possess good character and integrity. Work day will generally be between 8am and 5pm, but hours may vary. The Mechanic will report daily to Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Clean, service, and repair equipment and tools so they ready for use with minimal downtime
• Maintain accurate service schedules per manufactures recommendations.
• Provide emergency field assistance to disabled equipment when needed
• Keep accurate records of each asset including use, damage and repairs, and associated costs.
• Implement and maintain shop organization and security at all times. Maintain shop inventory according to budgets
• Prioritize and multi-task. Adjust to changes in the plan and scheduling as necessary.
• Communicate daily with managers and team members to understand current goals and objectives.
• Safeguard all company assets. Always represent the company’s best interest and maintain the highest level of integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in repairs and maintenance of vehicles and equipment such as small engines, skid loaders & excavators, trucks & trailers.
• Must be well organized with strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Must be professional in appearance and actions
• Must be detail oriented and quality driven
• Must be self-motivated
• Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
• Able and willing to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Operate skid loader/fork lift
• Mechanic Certifications (small engine, diesel, etc)
